I am Saloni Singh, a Dietician and Food Technologist by profession, but at heart, a storyteller of weaves. My love for sarees, suits was born from the warmth of my home. I grew up watching my mother drape the finest Banarasi silks; their gentle rustle felt like the sound of tradition being passed from one generation to the next. In our family, no wedding ever felt complete without the touch of silk; it was not just a fabric, it was a blessing, a legacy, and a celebration of culture. Even as I pursued my career in science, my heart always drifted towards the charm of a drape, the shimmer of zari, and the craftsmanship of handwoven silks. Everywhere I went, people would admire my sarees and ask,

“Saloni, where do you find such timeless pieces?”

That question planted a seed in my heart: a realization that I wasn’t just wearing sarees, I was carrying stories — the story of my roots, my mother’s love for silks, and the rich heritage of India’s weavers. In 2021, I decided to transform this passion into a purpose. I started Silkoshi as an online venture, curating authentic handwoven sarees and suits. The response was overwhelming; people embraced the authenticity, the craftsmanship, and the soul that each piece carried. Encouraged by this love, on 28th February 2025, I opened the doors to our first Silkoshi outlet in Noida. It was more than a store; it was a home for traditions, a space where every weave found a story and every customer found a piece of heritage. At Silkoshi, we go beyond fashion — we preserve legacies. Each saree and suit is handpicked to reflect the purity of Kashi’s silk, the craftsmanship of artisans from every corner of India, and the timeless elegance that every woman deserves. My dream for Silkoshi is to connect the richness of our traditions with the aspirations of the modern woman: to make every mother’s wish of draping the purest silk come true, every bride feel like a queen, and every woman own a piece that becomes an heirloom for generations to cherish.
